I am a passionate cook who has been cooking since the age of 15. A big-time foodie who has travelled and lived in more than 19 countries but who still loves coming back home and being in my elements. Bengal is known for an array of things, food being the most important of them all. Food is a celebration at a Bengali's home and that is exactly what you will get at this meal. My beautiful apartment is located in South Delhi and should be easily accessible by car or metro. Once you enter my home, you will be welcomed by a glass of lemonade - made from Gondhoraj. Then we shall head to the kitchen to learn some simple Bengali food. We can start with frying the Dimer eggs and Baigan Bhaja. Try your hand at rolling your own Luchi (Bengali flatbread) and then frying them. I will be glad to share these recipes and few tips on cooking the perfect Bengali meal. We shall then head to the dining area. With varieties in vegetable, fish and meat, Bengali's are known to always prepare lavish meals. Savour brilliant homemade Bengali dishes like Kosha Mangsho, Dimer Devil, Mishti Pulao and much more. A veg meal can be arranged for if requested at the time of booking. The entire experience will last for about 2-3 hours. Please Note - This is not a professional cooking class but rather an opportunity to cook and dine with a local home-chef. The experience will be as much about the stories around the food and local culture, as it would be about the meal itself.
