The area is blessed with the Arabian sea in the west and the backwaters in the north and east. Fort Kochi is famous for its unique cuisine which includes seafood, meat and vegetables.Our host family is into tourism business for the last 25 years. Joseph was a consultant for leading online travel companies in India and Abroad. He is a certified Yoga teacher in Fort Kochi.Joseph invites you to their kitchen after a refreshing drink made from tender coconut. Learn the local way of frying fish marinated in homemade spices. Temper, toss and cook another local dish named Thoran made with locally grown vegetables and fresh grated coconut. You can then head over to the dining area and enjoy the meal with the family.The entire meal experience will last for 3-4 hours.Please note - This is not a professional cooking class but rather an opportunity to cook and dine with a local home-chef. The experience will be as much about the stories around the food and local culture, as it would be about the meal itself.
